If your teeth are crooked and have unsightly gaps or spaces in between, consider having a cosmetic bonding proceedure.

Cosmetic bonding can correct broken, stained, or discolored front teeth by applying a composite resin or porcelain material directly to the roughened enamel surface of your tooth. The procedure is pain-free, often no anesthetic is required. Your smile can improve dramatically!

Cosmetic Bonding

If you've had silver or dark fillings and have been thinking of replacing them for a more natural look, Grand River Dental offers replacement procedures. We use posterior composite resins, or "tooth-colored fillings" to replace your old metallic ones. This gives your teeth seamless and more natural look.

In addition, bonded fillings can restore up to 80% of the tooth's original integrity. The life expectancy of bonded resins can range from 3 to 6 years.

The length of the procedure depends on which teeth need the operation. The bonding procedure for back teeth take slightly longer and cost slightly more than traditional methods, but we guarantee that the results will be worth it.

Filling Replacement

For over 75 years, the Porcelain crown has been the best method to correct major defects in the front and rear of the mouth. Porcelain crowns are used to provide support and protection for important tooth structures, and replace missing or broken teeth. It is the strongest and longest lasting of all the metal-free tooth restoration options.

A porcelain crown can be customized to your unique dental structure, in order to appear as natural as possible. Porcelain bridge work is the best treatment for correcting major anterior functional or structural problems with individual teeth. Call us today to learn more.

“Zoom - I have never had white teeth before. Thank you.”

– Julie

Zoom! is a popular teeth whitening process that uses bleach to lighten the discoloration of enamel and dentin. Zoom! has guaranteed results, and has become so successful that it has been featured on TV shows such as ABC's Extreme Makeover!

The complete procedure takes around an hour. A standard cleaning is recommended before you undergo the actual whitening.

Zoom! uses light activated whitening gel whose active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. The Zoom! light causes the hydrogen peroxide to break down on a molecular level, and penetrate the surface of your teeth. Oxygen then enters the enamel and dentin in your teeth, bleaching colored substances and whitening your teeth up to eight shades.

During the procedure, you can comfortably watch television or listen to music. If you have a strong gag reflex or anxiety and feel difficulty undergoing the entire procedure, please let us know.

By following some simple post-whitening care instructions, your teeth are guaranteed to always be lighter than they were before. To maximize how long your results last, we recommend flossing, brushing twice daily, and using Zoom! Weekender or Nite White gel. These Zoom! products are available through our office.

Sensitivity during the treatment may occur in some patients. On rare occasions, minor

tingling sensations can be experienced immediately after the procedure, but will pass after

a few hours.
